“Serenity” is based on a photo I took of the sunset in Astoria, Oregon. As the name indicates, it was a warm, beautiful and calm evening. I originally thought I would paint it in oils, but gouache is what spoke to me for this one. There’s something about the way the layers work together as they dry. In fact, with gouache, the painting almost paints itself - I just hold the brush! And that was definitely the case for “Serenity.” This painting comes framed and ready to hang. GA sales tax and shipping are additional.
